As a Software Engineer, you will provide Second Level Engineering support. You will also develop code, manage applications, and convert code to containerized application code.
Job Duties:

- Edit, develop, adjust existing Java code base.
- Administer and support applications running in Linux environments.
- Develop automation code in Bash, Ansible, or Gitlab.
- Convert Java middleware application code in a virtual machine environment to containerized application code.
Education & Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT fields, with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science may be substituted in lieu of the computer science degree, depending on other qualifications and experience.
- 3-6 years of experience is required.
Required:
- Core Java Development: Java, Spring Boot, and Maven.
- Containerization & Deployment: Containerization using Docker or Podman. Developing, deploying, packaging, port mapping, and networking.
- Publish/Subscribe messaging and enterprise messaging technologies such as JMS, Solace, or Apache Camel.
- Web services.
- Version control systems like Git.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and try new complex things on the job.
- Professional verbal and written communication.
Preferred:
- Testing & Quality: Test‑Driven Development (TDD), Test development using Junit and/or Mockito.
- Ansible automation.
- DevOps experience such as using Jenkins or Gitlab.
- Familiar with Java OOP design pattern.
- National Air Space System (NAS) experience.
Full-time position and will generally be in a cubicle environment.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
